If you encounter any issues using AnimaInk, please reach out via the following channels.
AnimaInk's AI features require you to configure third-party service API Keys. Supported providers and signup links:
| Provider | Purpose | Sign Up |
|---|---|---|
| Volcengine | Text / Image / Video / Voice | Volcano Ark |
| Alibaba Cloud Bailian | Text / Image | Bailian Console |
Setup: open AnimaInk menu β Settings β AI Services, enter your API Key. Keys are stored encrypted in macOS Keychain.
We chose the "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model over a managed platform because: (1) you see real costs directly; (2) data flows directly between your Mac and the AI provider, bypassing our servers and protecting your creative privacy; (3) it avoids cross-border compliance risks.
Projects are saved in the .animaink folder of your choosing. This is a macOS document bundle containing all assets, scripts, and generation results. You can copy, back up, and migrate them like any regular file.
Per the "Measures for Labeling AI-Generated Synthetic Content" (effective Sept 2025), AI-generated content must be labeled. The App adds an explicit watermark in the corner of videos, plus implicit C2PA/XMP tags in file metadata, to comply with national regulations.
Currently supports Simplified Chinese and English. Switch via AnimaInk menu β Settings β General β Interface Language.
macOS only. iPad/Windows versions are not currently planned.
Purchases via Mac App Store follow Apple's refund policy. We cannot process App Store refunds on your behalf.
No. All project data stays on your Mac. Only when you trigger an AI generation task, prompts and necessary reference images are sent to the selected third-party AI provider (see Privacy Policy).
AnimaInk is under active development. Feature requests, bug reports, or just chatting about creative workflows β email us anytime. We take every piece of feedback seriously.
