Privacy Policy

Wushengdai (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "our", "us") highly values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the "AnimaInk" macOS and Windows application ("the App") handles your information.

Core commitment: The App is a locally-running creative tool. In the default BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode, we do not collect, upload, or store any of your personal information or creative content on our servers. Only when you actively opt into the "AnimaInk Platform" managed tier will the corresponding generation requests and reference assets be relayed through our platform gateway, handled as "temporary relay with short-term automatic deletion" (see Section 3).

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

In BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode, the App does not collect or upload any of the following to our servers (for the relay rules of the "AnimaInk Platform" managed mode, see Section 3):

  • Your name, email, phone number, ID, location, or any other personal identifiers
  • The novels, scripts, or raw material you import
  • Any character art, scene images, storyboards, or videos generated by you
  • Your project files (.animaink document bundles)
  • Device identifiers, IDFA, or usage analytics
  • Crash logs (unless you actively click "Report Crash")

2. Data Stored Locally

All runtime data is stored on your Mac's / Windows PC's local disk and is accessible only by you:

  • Project files: stored at the location you choose, in .animaink document bundle format
  • App preferences: window state, recent projects, model configs, etc., stored in the app config directory (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support; Windows: %APPDATA%)
  • API Keys: third-party AI service API Keys you enter are stored encrypted in the system-level secure store (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Manager), never in plaintext on disk
  • Cache: image/video preview cache, which can be cleared with one click in-app

Uninstalling the App removes preferences and cache. Project files and API Keys in the system credential store may require manual deletion.

3. Two Access Modes for AI Generation Services

The App's core creative features rely on AI generation services, offered in two access modes you choose yourself:

  • BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) mode: you enter a third-party provider's API Key; requests and responses communicate directly between your computer and the provider, never through our servers.
  • "AnimaInk Platform" managed mode: you use a Key issued by our platform portal; requests are relayed through our platform gateway and routed to upstream AI providers (see 3.3).

3.1 Third-Party Services Supported in BYOK Mode

3.2 BYOK Mode Invocation Rules

  • All third-party services must be actively enabled by you with your own paid account
  • Your prompts and uploaded reference images are sent directly to the respective provider to perform the generation
  • Each provider's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy; we are not responsible for it
  • These AI services have completed algorithm filings with the Cyberspace Administration of China

3.3 Data Handling in "AnimaInk Platform" Managed Mode

When you actively switch to the "AnimaInk Platform" tier, data is relayed through our infrastructure to perform generation, under the following rules:

  • Key & portal: the platform Key (sk-anik- prefix) is issued and managed by our portal ai.azoicera.com; that portal is governed by its own separate privacy policy, which prevails.
  • Request relay: your prompts, generation parameters, etc. are relayed through our platform gateway (ai.azoicera.com) and routed to upstream AI providers; the platform schedules models according to the tier you select.
  • Reference asset upload: the reference images / videos / audio actually used for a generation are uploaded directly via presigned URLs to a temporary bucket in our object storage (OSS); the generation request only submits an object identifier (oss_key), and the client never touches the signed read URL.
  • Temporary relay, short-term auto-deletion: the temporary bucket is automatically cleaned per a lifecycle policy (about 24 hours); such assets are used solely to complete the current generation relay. We do not retain them persistently, nor use them for model training or any other purpose.
  • Transport security: relay and upload use HTTPS / TLS encryption throughout.

You may delete the platform Key and switch back to BYOK mode in-app at any time to stop data relay through our gateway.

4. AI-Generated Content Labeling

Pursuant to the "Measures for Labeling of AI-Generated Synthetic Content" (effective September 2025), videos and images exported by the App will automatically include:

  • Explicit labels: "AI Generated" watermark in the corner of videos
  • Implicit labels: C2PA / XMP tags in file metadata

You may adjust watermark position in export settings, but cannot fully remove it (legally required).

5. Store Payments (if applicable)

If you purchase the App or in-app content via the Mac App Store (macOS) or Microsoft Store (Windows), transactions are handled by Apple Inc. / Microsoft respectively. We only receive anonymized sales statistics from the respective store and never access your payment information.

6. Network Communication

The App initiates network requests only in the following cases:

  • You actively trigger an AI generation task (BYOK mode) → direct connection to the third-party provider's API
  • You actively trigger an AI generation task ("AnimaInk Platform" managed mode) → connection to our platform gateway ai.azoicera.com, relayed to upstream providers
  • You actively download reference images / assets → direct connection to the URL you provided
  • App update checks / delivery (via the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store)

All requests use HTTPS/TLS encryption. The App does not bundle any third-party analytics SDK (e.g. Firebase, Umeng, Sensors).

7. Data Security

  • API Keys are stored encrypted in the system-level secure store (macOS Keychain / Windows Credential Manager)
  • The macOS version runs under App Sandbox; the Windows version is packaged as MSIX running in a lightweight isolation container; both can only access files you explicitly authorize
  • The macOS version complies with Apple Hardened Runtime and Notarization; the Windows version is certified by Microsoft Store
  • Code is signed for distribution to prevent tampering (macOS signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized; Windows signed and distributed after Microsoft Store certification)
  • In "AnimaInk Platform" managed mode, reference assets are uploaded directly via HTTPS presigned URLs; the client never touches the signed read URL

8. Your Rights

  • Access: all project data is stored as open files, directly browsable
  • Export / Migrate: copy .animaink files to any Mac or Windows PC
  • Delete: delete files or uninstall to remove all data
  • Disconnect AI services: removing API Keys (including the platform Key) in-app immediately disables the corresponding AI features and data relay

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Parents may use macOS Family Sharing or Windows Family settings to manage access.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant updates will be prominently displayed in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
